Recipe -- Chunky Streusel Jam Squares

My friend Britta found this recipe on a package of Nestle Tollhouse Chunk Morsels. Enjoy!!! They're SO good and addicting!!

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups quick or old-fashioned oats
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup raspberry or strawberry preserves (I used homemade raspberry jam, because that's all I had . . . and 3/4 cup equaled one pint of jam)
1 11.5 oz. pkg. Nestle Tollhouse semi-sweet chocolate Chunks
1/4 cup chopped nuts (I omitted this because my hubby's allergic to nuts, I think it tastes fine without them).

-Preheat oven to 375, grease 9-inch square baking pan
-Combine flour, oats, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder and salt into large bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or two knives until crumbly; reserve 3/4 cup oat mixture for topping. Press remaining oat mixture into prepared baking pan. Spread preserves over crust; sprinkle with chunks.
-Combine reserved oat mixture and nuts; sprinkle over chunks. Pat down lightly.
-Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely in pan on wire rack until chocolate is firm, or refrigerate for 30 minutes to speed cooling (I would recommend making sure it cools before cutting . . . personally I think it's insane for them to expect I'll wait 30 minutes, and I cut into them while they were still warm and my piece fell apart. But it was still yummy!!).
-Cut into squares -- makes 25 squares.
